Lucy, a former street kid and pickpocket is now fighting to survive in this new world of “sinners”. She found refuge in a settlement made to fend off the demons, But who can she trust and why are they all down here with her? Could they be just like her only trying to survive long before all this started?

3 randomly generated words formed the titles for each book cover and a short made up story idea was the inspiration for each.
The first story My Model Coffin was about a guy that obsessed over his funeral arrangements and spent all his money on his death and not living his life. This story was going to be silly and light hearted with the coffin being solid gold and decked out with embellishments of angels with grills and aviators.
Abnormal Retirement Dilemma is about an elderly man discovering a secret about his work. His workplace forces him to retire and claims he is senile and untrustworthy. This would be a dark take on how elderly can be taken advantage of and not taken seriously.
Fare Clock Opinion is about a man that repeats the same day over and over again not in a time loop but one of his own designs. Trying to break from the loop never works as something always forces him back on track. This would be a dark tale about the repetitive nature everyone falls into at one point or another.
Monstrous Vain Façade is a story about a criminal that wishes to be free of their forced life. Unable to appear as weak or down on their luck they forge a fake identity to maintain the façade of being tough and successful. This story would end with the character not knowing who they are anymore as they spend so long faking that they forget and changing their behavior to be who they want and not who they thought they had to be.
The fire hands were a big part of the animation and also the hardest thing to draw. These were early concepts on how to draw the hands in different angles and states. The time shows how many frames before each keyframe and how many keyframes for the loop. The hand angles were important as the hands needed to look like they were still attached to wrists and wouldn’t go past the range of motion unnaturally.
